Consultant in Rheumatology
Applications are invited for a new Consultant post in Gloucester and Cheltenham which provides a superb opportunity to join an existing team of five rheumatologists, two Specialty Registrars, five rheumatology specialist nurses and a Physiotherapy Advanced Practitioner.
We are looking for a colleague with enthusiasm, strong self-motivation and the skills necessary to contribute to the development of our patient-centred service. A special interest to complement those of the team would be welcomed.
The appointee will take an active role in the rheumatology service with full participation in cross-county clinical activities. The post will be based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital. GHNHSFT has recently received a combined rating of ‘Good’ by the CQC.
Gloucestershire is well known for its natural beauty, cultural and leisure activities and many staff live in and around Cheltenham, The Cotswolds and The Forest of Dean.
The county has many excellent state (including grammar) and private schools as well as colleges of higher education and its own university. There is good rail and road access to Bristol, Birmingham, South Wales and London.
