Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate Professor of Practice/Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice in Respiratory Medicine
Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate Professor of Practice/Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice in Respiratory Medicine in the Department of Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong colleges under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should have a solid track record of clinical services in respiratory medicine and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for the Faculty in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education. Applicants should also have proven capacity and potential in performing research in their respective field. The appointee is expected to provide regular clinical services and patient care in the Departments of Medicine at Queen Mary Hospital and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
