Fixed Term 6 months, Full Time, Consultant Grade.

The University of Dundee Centre for Forensic Medicine & Dentistry is
seeking a Locum Consultant Histopathologist to assist in the delivery of
its adult autopsy service.

The University of Dundee is one of only a handful of universities within
the United Kingdom to have an active medicolegal department, whose
principle activity is the provision of independent and impartial forensic
pathology and forensic odontology services to the Tayside region. It
currently conducts approximately 500 examinations annually under the
instruction of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service and is
staffed by two consultant grade forensic pathologists, a speciality trainee
in forensic pathology and a senior lecturer in forensic odontology. In
addition to delivering the autopsy service, its staff also provide autopsy
training support to NHS Tayside and participate in the delivery of a
unique array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and modules.

Suitable applicants will have GMC registration and FRCPath in
histopathology (or recognised equivalent).

The post will be full time for six months in the first instance, however,
applications from individuals wishing to work less than full time will be
considered.
