We host the Greater Birmingham emergency eye care service and provide the only inpatient facility for this area.

There are 2 post CCT fellows and 1 ASTO/TSC attached to the service at all times and the post holder will be expected to significantly contribute to their training.

They will also participate in the regional VR on-call rota, currently 1:8 hosted at BMEC.

The post holder will be involved in Eye Casualty, delivering leadership and clinical management in one session per week.

Applicants must be included on the GMC specialist register in ophthalmology,or within 6 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
