Commencing 8th July 2019. 12 month full-time, temporary contract.  

Candidates must be registered with the Irish Medical Council before 1st July 2019 and be Post FRCS in Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.

The Fellowship will comprise all aspects of hand and upper limb surgery in the Adult and Paediatric settings. Trauma surgery, Elective surgery, Brachial Plexus, Congenital, Wrist, Shoulder, Elbow and Microsurgery will all be available to the successful applicant. It will be based at the MMUH but will also have sessions in Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital, Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and the Central Remedial Clinic. Clinical exposure will also be provided in private practice and other settings. The Fellow will be expected to complete and publish a significant research project and sit the FESSH examination in Hand Surgery.
