Clinical Research Fellow

The appointment will be on UCL Grade CL7. 

The Re-IMAGINE Consortium has been created to undertake discovery that will correct over-diagnosis, over-treatment, missed-diagnoses and poor risk-stratification in men with prostate cancer.  The project will combine the underlying molecular changes in the cancer with state-of-the-art imaging. This will allow the prediction of prostate cancer status for the individual (low, medium or high risk) without recourse to biopsy. It will also allow prediction of which prostate cancers are likely to progress over time and which are not, this has largely eluded scientist so far.

The main purpose of the post is to be responsible for the overall clinical coordination and data handling of the project.

This post initially funded for 2 years.

Applicants must have a Qualification in Medicine and be looking to gain a postgraduate qualification (MD or PhD). Familiarity with the healthcare environment, excellent time management skills and a meticulous approach to project documentation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and presentation skills at meetings are essential. He/she must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, show initiative, excellent organisational ability and the capacity to effectively order priorities and be discreet and able to deal with confidential matters.
