Clinical Fellow in Gynaecology
Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust Musgrove Park Hospital
Clinical Fellow in Gynaecology with interest in pre-diagnostic gynaecological oncology and colposcopy.
Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an experienced clinical fellow in Gynaecology with an interest in gynaecological oncology and pre-invasive disease.
This post is based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton and would ideally start on 1st of June 2019. This is to replace a colleague who is leaving the department in May and is originally for 6 months with a view for further extension and in preparation for development of a substantive post based on the needs of the unit. The successful candidate will work with and support the existing gynaecological oncology service. Experience working in a gynaecological cancer centre is desirable but not necessary. We would welcome someone with an interest in colposcopy and colposcopy research.
The Centre treats 200 new gynaecological cancer patients and sees ~2,400 new referrals per annum through rapid access, post-menopausal bleeding and colposcopy clinics in a dedicated, stand-alone, gynaecological oncology centre (GRACE Centre).
Musgrove Park Hospital is a busy District General Hospital providing acute and community services to 330,000 people living in the west side of Somerset and tertiary gynaecological oncology referrals from East Somerset and West Dorset, via Yeovil District General Hospital. Taunton is situated in the south-west of England in the county town of Taunton just off the M5 motorway 37 miles north of Exeter, 48 miles south of Bristol. Taunton is 2 hours by rail from London.
