The Rheumatology service at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pro-active and progressive and looking to develop the current service by expanding links with primary care and looking at alternative models of care for our expanding patient base. Recent investments into the service have also allowed the purchase of state of the art disease and drug monitoring software.

There are also close links with the obstetric and vascular services which benefit Rheumatology patients.

MDT support is provided by two specialist nurses and nurses with interest in Rheumatology; in addition to dedicated Rheumatology physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The Rheumatology unit is research active and currently recruits to 5 NIHR portfolio studies and has dedicated research nurse support. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice, and be on the Specialist Register (or be within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training) for Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine.

The posts are offered on a full-time basis; however, the Trust would welcome discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support a different work life balance.
