The Canterbury District Health Board systematically plans, funds and delivers care to almost 600,000 New Zealanders that live in the Canterbury region. The Canterbury Health System is a world leader in the delivery of integrated health care. Our main focus is placing people (staff and patients alike) at the centre of everything we do.
The Dermatology Department is based in our brand new Outpatient building, with four purpose built clinic rooms, a phototherapy suite, dedicated procedure rooms and patch testing. Our current staffing comprises a senior medical officer, a medical officer, a fellow and a registrar, along with support from a Dermatology nurse and a clinical nurse specialist who sees her own patients.
The Canterbury DHB are in the unique position to advertise for a medical Dermatologist to join the service on a full-time, permanent basis.
Along with outpatient clinics, there will be some inpatient consultation services that you will need to provide.
The successful candidate will need to be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
