The Hurley Group is an NHS organisation that runs a number of practices and urgent care centres across London. We have been providing patient-centred care since 1969, working within some of the UK’s most deprived communities.

We are currently looking to recruit Local Medical Directors (lead GPs) for two of our sites. (We also have salaried GP roles available at various sites across the Group and we would love to be able to discuss these with you. – details can be found on our website)

The Local Medical Director at each site works as part of the practice leadership team partnering the Practice Manager and a dedicated senior manager to Lead the site. To support and develop you in this role supervision and mentoring from one of the Hurley Group Partners and Senior managers is available. You will also be part of an LMD peer support network with clinicians in similar roles across the group.

Kings Park Practice and Harold Wood Walk-in Centre, RM3 OFE,

Kings Park is a rapidly growing practice with a current list size of 7,800 patients. The Hurley Group currently provide services in both the practice and the co-located Walk-in centre which currently sees approximately 40,000 patients a year. Both services are well established, with a strong multi-disciplinary practice team who are hugely supportive of each other and dedicated to delivering the best possible care for our patients.

SMA Medical Centre, E10 6RA

The Hurley Group was appointed as the GP service provider following a CQC visit in January 2018. The practice operates from a modern purpose-built surgery, and has around 11,000 registered patients. There is a well-established multi-disciplinary practice team, and our aims for this practice include addressing a number of clinical issues raised by the CQC, and improving the safety and effectiveness of systems and processes to achieve improved outcomes for the patients.

Your professional development is paramount and you will be supported to attend all mandatory training and additional training to gain further skills and experience. There are also opportunities if you wish to train as GP trainers, educational supervisors or FY2 trainers. You will be a valued member of the whole team, encouraged to attend clinical meetings, contribute and be integral in decision making that influences the patient journey and services provided at the site. We welcome part time or job-share applications.
