Consultant Medical Oncologist
Applications are invited from a Consultant Medical Oncologist who hold a full registration with the UK General Medical Council, with a licence to practise and are on the Specialist Register. The post holder will be working as the lead consultant for medical oncology on the Chemotherapy unit at St Bernard’s Hospital Gibraltar and will liaise with our tertiary partners in the UK (Guys and St Thomas’s and the Royal Marsden) and coordinate care via their MDTs. Applicants should have an extensive knowledge of Acute Medical Oncology and will be expected to develop the local service.
The appointment above is offered on contract terms for an initial period of three years. Salary, dependent on experience ranges from £109,025 to £134,232 per annum. In addition the post holders will be paid a sum of 18% of the basic salary for undertaking on-call duties (weekday telephone advice) and a supplement of 12% of the basic salary in order to provide cross cover of colleagues, for whatever reason, up to a maximum of ten weeks per year. Local tax is substantially lower than the UK.
Passages are payable and transportation of personal effects and accommodation is subsidised.
