It is the largest UK postgraduate specialist heart and lung centre with sites in Chelsea and Wimpole St, London and Harefield, Middlesex. Harefield Hospital is also one of UK’s largest heart and lung transplant centres.

Applications are invited for the post of consultant in nuclear medicine/radionuclide radiology to join a successful and enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team providing the full range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures for our own patients and those of neighbouring hospitals.

This is an additional post for a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine (whole-time) based at Harefield Hospital, which partly replaces the responsibilities of an existing consultant stepping down to part time, and also supports the delivery of the increasing service in PET-CT.

The principal role of this post is to provide clinical services in Nuclear Medicine, including PET-CT, working closely with 3 other Nuclear Medicine consultant colleagues.

The post holder will be responsible for delivery of high quality clinical care for patients being seen through the Nuclear Medicine department.

The post holder will engage in clinical research in imaging at a level in keeping with the 5* research rating of the National Heart & Lung Institute.

Applicants are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or within six months of eligibility at the time of interview.
