Specialty Doctor Isle of Man

Noble’s Hospital - Isle of Man

£37,923 to £70,718 for 10 PA’s (Further pay awards due spring 2019)

We're looking for professional, supportive and forward-thinking Specialty Doctors to join our fantastic team here at Noble's Hospital on the Isle of Man.

Why join us?

By joining our team at Noble's Hospital, you will be able to benefit from what the island, our lifestyle and work-life here has to offer.

As a self-governing crown dependency within the British Isles, our healthcare system is separate to the UK NHS and is provided by a National Health Service based on that in the United Kingdom but independently financed and administered within the Isle of Man.  Many of the changes brought about to the UK National Health Service, as a consequence of the extensive reorganisations of recent years have not been adopted in the Isle of Man.

The island has a lot to offer and those living here benefit from:

  • A great work-life balance
  • A relaxed way of life in a safe environment with low crime
  • Fantastic lifestyle opportunities - You could enjoy an outdoor lifestyle - walking, diving, sailing, mountain biking and great beaches
  • Low income tax rates, maximum rate being 20%

At Noble's hospital, we also take pride in being able to offer a workplace that:

  • Is equipped to the latest standards, providing a comprehensive range of services
  • Offers brilliant training and development opportunities - we have an Education and Training Centre with a simulation suite and library situated in the grounds
  • Has a great working environment - we're a close knit team who are driven to ensure we provide high quality healthcare services to the people on the island
  • We recognise the need for all medical staff on the Island to maintain connections with medicine in the United Kingdom, and we provide generous study Leave with pay and expenses to attend approved conferences and workshops.

Our Medical Services have a strong emphasis on training with support for both in house and external training courses. We have a Royal College of Physicians Tutor who oversees training across the department, supported by a number of educational and clinical supervisors and provide regular teaching sessions which are popular and consistently receive excellent feedback from Health Education North West.

At Noble's hospital and the DHSC, we have an exciting ambition to build a new model of health and social care that delivers truly effective health and social care strategies in a way which is innovative and responsive to community needs. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a difference and be a part of shaping the Islands’ future health services.

If you would like to achieve a fantastic work-life balance with a professionally satisfying job whilst living in one of the safest, least congested and most beautiful parts of the British Isles then this is the job for you!
