Consultant Acute Physician
Applications are invited for the above post of Consultant in Acute Medicine based at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester - part of the Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an innovative post for an individual looking to develop their role in a dynamic and well-equipped Acute Medical Unit. The service is delivered on the Emergency Floor – an RCP Future Hospitals Commission pilot project – with excellent opportunities for service developments – particularly for the Acute Frailty service. We encourage applicants to discuss the model with our current team.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of committed Acute Physicians working in an exciting environment – which has been recognised by the Royal College of Physicians as a Future Hospital site, and nominated for an HSJ award in 2016 for ‘Innovation in Acute Care.’ Acute Medicine plays a central role in the delivery of non-elective care and the Emergency Floor forms the hub for all admissions to the Hospital including Medical, Surgical and Elderly Care patients. The multi-disciplinary team is fully committed to data-guided service improvement and creating a high-quality learning environment for training the doctors of the future.
Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only CQC-rated “Outstanding” hospital trust on the south coast and one of only seven in the country. We’re an ambitious organisation that champions our people, equipping them with new skills to continually improve services for patients.
