The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital provides a comprehensive range of neuromusculoskeletal health care ranging from the most acute spinal injury or complex bone tumour to orthopaedic medicine and specialist rehabilitation for chronic back pain sufferers. This broad range of neuro-musculoskeletal services is unique within the NHS.
An opportunity has arisen for a full time substantive Consultant in Joint Reconstruction Surgeon to join a team of five consultants at RNOH.
The successful candidate will specialise in orthopaedic, lower limb joint reconstruction as well as primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. They will be expected to work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and also be involved in the RNOH strategy to broaden and diversify the Joint Reconstruction service.
Our teaching and clinical effectiveness are enhanced by our work in research and development and our academic links with University College, London. Research departments at Stanmore include the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Sciences (IOMS) and Aspire CREATe centre for rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology.
All applicants for consultant posts must be eligible for full GMC registration and either be on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining their CCST/CCT award at the time of interviewing.
