Consultant Radiologist - General
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Diagnostic imaging. Any subspecialty interest will be considered, particularly GU, Oncology and Neurology Imaging.
This is a replacement post and is based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital site. The post holder will help to provide cross-sectional and general imaging support to RLBUHT. The proposed job plan may include fixed evening DCC activity, in line with all recent appointments and the requirements for an extended 7 day service for the planned new hospital. The agreed job plan will reflect seven day working and may involve some weekend working.
The 10 PA contract comprises 8 DCC sessions and 2 SPA sessions. Future commitments requiring additional SPA time would be negotiable. The successful applicant will be on call at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, currently on a 1:12 rota and 0.5PA is provided for predictable on-call compensation.
To encourage more flexible patterns of working, there is the possibility of working one day from home each week.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full time is eligible to be considered for this post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content should be discussed on a personal basis with the employing authority in consultation with the Clinical Director. Applicants are required to be on the Specialist Registrar of the RCR before taking up the Consultant appointment. Good communication skills, the ability to work as a team member and offer high standard of clinical opinion are an essential requirement. Participation in the Trust Consultant appraisal system and Royal College of Radiology CPD/CME programme are expected.
