Noble's Hospital - Isle of Man

£76,761 to £133,193 10PAs (Further pay awards due spring 2019)

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician with special interest in Diabetes & Endocrinology or Cardiology to join our friendly and committed team here in the beautiful Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man, our hospital and healthcare system

The Isle of Man is a special place to live and work and by joining our team at Noble's Hospital, you will be able to benefit from what the island, our lifestyle and work-life here has to offer.

The Isle of Man is a self-governing crown dependency within the British Isles, with a population of approximately 85,000.

Our healthcare system is separate to the UK NHS and is provided by a National Health Service based on that in the United Kingdom but is independently financed and administered within the Isle of Man.  Many of the changes brought about to the UK National Health Service, as a consequence of the extensive reorganisations of recent years have not been adopted in the Isle of Man.

The island has a lot to offer and those living here benefit from:

  • A great work-life balance
  • A relaxed way of life in a safe environment with low crime
  • Fantastic lifestyle opportunities - You could enjoy an outdoor lifestyle - walking, diving, sailing, mountain biking and great beaches
  • Low income tax rates, maximum rate being 20%

At Noble's hospital, we also take pride in being able to offer a workplace that:

  • Is equipped to the latest standards
  • Offers brilliant training and development opportunities - we have an Education and Training Centre with a simulation suite and library situated in the grounds
  • Supports staff - we recognise the need for all medical staff on the Island to maintain connections with medicine in the United Kingdom, and we provide generous study Leave with pay and expenses to attend approved conferences and workshops.
  • Has a great working environment - we're a close knit team who are driven to ensure we provide high quality healthcare services to the people on the island

For this post we also offer interview expenses and a relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.

At Noble's hospital and the DHSC, we have an exciting ambition to build a new model of health and social care that delivers truly effective health and social care strategies in a way which is innovative and responsive to community needs. This is an exciting opportunity where you can
make a difference and be a part of shaping the Islands’ future health services.

If you would like to achieve a fantastic work-life balance with a professionally satisfying job whilst living in one of the safest, least congested and most beautiful parts of the British Isles then this is the job for you!
