We would like to invite applications for the post of Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. This is a replacement post and applicants will be expected to have broad general ophthalmology experience with a sub-specialty interest in oculoplastic surgery. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and evolving department at St Helens Hospital, where our Clinicians actively shape services. You will be joining a dynamic team of 7 ophthalmology consultants and work in purpose built, well equipped, state of the art facilities. You will help us build on our excellent reputation for delivering high quality patient care and you will be instrumental in enhancing our capacity to deliver world-class Ophthalmology services.

St Helens Hospital is conveniently located within reach of both Liverpool and Manchester City Centre, there are excellent residential areas within easy reach of the Trust; excellent educational, cultural and sporting institutions are also located nearby.

Candidates are expected to be on the Specialist Register, hold a Certificate of Specialist Training (CCT) or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of appointment.

This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure with both children and adults’ barred lists.
