We are delighted to offer opportunities for 2 highly motivated, ambitious individuals to join our well-integrated team as a full time Paediatric Gastroenterologist. These are replacement post designed to support the continuing development of our clinical service at the Great North Children’s Hospital. You will join 3 Consultant Colleagues in Paediatric Gastroenterology and 2 Consultant General Paediatricians with specialist interests in gastroenterology.

We provide comprehensive tertiary inpatient and outpatient Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition services for the local community, NE region and Cumbria with a clinical network across the regional District General Hospitals. The Paediatric Gastroenterology Department, with the Immunology Department, is also nationally commissioned to provide assessment +/- HSCT for children with very early onset inflammatory bowel disease and immune dysregulation and immune mediated enteropathy.

You must possess MRCPCH or equivalent, and will be a registered medical practitioner on, or eligible to join, the Specialist Register for Paediatrics within six months of the date of the Appointments Committee. CCT in paediatric gastroenterology or evidence of equivalent training / experience is essential.
