Have you got the imagination and drive to be part of the team delivering a vision of cutting-edge 21st Century emergency healthcare?
Plans are at an advanced stage for the Trust to host a single site acute service - the Midland Metropolitan Hospital. This would provide significant benefits with specialist services co-located, supporting one of the largest Emergency Care single site services in Europe. The new hospital will have one of the busiest emergency departments in the country. To deal with this a new computer system is being implemented as part of a major service redesign across both emergency departments and the assessment units. A number of other transformational projects are underway to further improve care.

Currently, City Hospital sees 110,000 patients and Sandwell Hospital sees 82,000 patients per annum. Both departments are Trauma Units with close links to their Major Trauma Centre. The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit is at Sandwell General Hospital and is supported by Emergency & Acute Medicine.

Interviews will take place 5th April 2019.

For an informal discussion please contact Dr Meena Bandhakavi, Consultant Paediatrician, on 0121 507 4608 or acting Clinical director Dr Maria Atkinson 0121 554301.
