Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Urological and Gynaecological Imaging
Applications are invited for a 8 PA post for a Consultant Radiologist to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department with a strong record in teaching and training. The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service, to cover sessions at our local
community hospitals (The Nelson and Queen Mary’s Roehampton) and to provide support for the urology and gynaecology services.
The successful applicant will be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including CT, ultrasound and MRI. Experience in urological and gynaecological imaging is essential and the post will also contain general diagnostic sessions in MR, CT, ultrasound and plain film reporting. The post holder will be joining a team of Uroradiologists and Gynaecology Imaging specialists in providing expert radiology services to these clinical teams. The dedicated MDT work will be shared with colleagues in the team.
The appointee will be expected, in collaboration with the Care Group Lead in Radiology and other radiologists in the department, to oversee and ensure the provision of high quality clinical services within the Radiology Department and to participate in training and quality improvement activity.
There will also be a requirement to join the diagnostic on call rota on a frequency of about 1:15 alongside regular weekend working.
It is expected that applicants will have the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists and a CCT in Radiology or equivalent training and experience.
