Do you want to be part of a dynamic team, which consists of 8 Consultant Surgeons, 3 SpRs and 3 Staff Grades and 5 junior doctors in ENT?  As a University hospital, we have excellent training and education links.

We are extremely proud of the high quality care we provide our patients, and our team are constantly working towards excellence in patient safety and patient experience.  We are keen to continually improve and develop our services to ensure that we are delivering the NSF and embracing the opportunities that Payment by Results and Patient Choice will offer us.

We are the 6th largest Trust in England situated in a picturesque part of the country, known as the Garden of England.   London is just an hour away, and within 2 hours you could be on the continent via the Channel Tunnel and ferries.  East Kent boasts a large number of coastal towns, unspoilt beaches, places of historical interest and first-class shopping facilities, making it an attractive and affordable place to live.

This post is available due to an unfilled Core Trainee Year 2 post at the William Harvey hospital until 06/08/2019.  We have an excellent track record of previous CT2’s gaining national training numbers in ENT

Previous clinical experience working in a substantive post in the UK is an essential requirement for this post.  It is not suitable for those who have solely done a clinical attachment in the UK.

The contract will be 40 hours per week basic. The ENT Department has a strong subspecialist clinical and training ethos, and some flexibility in working patterns to suit training needs is possible on appointment.

We are a very friendly, supportive and professional Directorate who are willing to invest our time in supporting your own career aims by offering excellent training and educational opportunities, career advice and job opportunities.

There is an organised induction programme into the Trust which all new appointees are expected to attend.

The post holder will be expected to start as soon as possible.

Full GMC Registration is essential.

All posts are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure check in the event of the post being offered.
