Salaried GP Positions
Gloucester Health Access Centre and Matson Lane Surgery- GHAC/ML
Salaried GP positions available in an exciting and innovative practice in Gloucester city
Due to growth and involvement in innovative projects, we are looking for talented individuals to join the Practice. We offer exceptional flexibility, professional variety and career development opportunities. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible work-life balance in an enjoyable, supportive environment. We are exceptionally family friendly, but we also welcome doctors in the later stages of their career who don’t want the burden of running a practice. Don’t retire, come and work with us!
We are looking for GPs for our two practices in central Gloucester. We need
doctors who can work regularly and particularly encourage applications from GPs wanting to work 6-8 sessions per week, but we are very flexible. One of our
practices is open at weekends: weekend work is entirely optional but, if it suits you to work weekends at an enhanced rate, we offer that.
We believe that having clinicians with varied clinical interests enhances the quality of care and avoids burnout. We support our GPs in pursuing their clinical interests, both within and outside the practices.
GHAC/Ml are a single practice, based at two sites in Gloucester city, one in the city centre at Eastgate House and another at Taylor House in Matson. We have a registered patient list of 7,500 and also provide an urgent care service for non-registered patients, seen on an appointment basis, rather than as ‘walk-ins’. GHAC works very closely with other local urgent care providers, so working for us offers the opportunity to undertake innovative GP portfolio roles, if desired, including working sessions in the Emergency Department and the Clinical Assessment and Advice Service (CAAS) based at the Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust as well as the GHAC Urgent Care clinic.
GHAC has the fastest growing population of all practices in the county of
Gloucestershire, attracting patients from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds, especially those of eastern European heritage and descent. We have a great team, made up of passionate staff including GPs, Practice Nurses, a Clinical Pharmacist, and a Health coach as well as our great support colleagues. During 2019 we will be working with the 2gether NHS Trust to host an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner.
We also offer:
- Generous salary
- 15 minute appointments
- Great team – fun, friendly, informal, modern
- As much or as little admin and management as you like…Beyond your personal clinical admin, any managerial or admin work that you do is optional and remunerated.
