We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic geriatrician to join our growing team. You will lead and contribute to innovative integrated services for the frail elderly and demonstrate innovative approaches to enhance existing services. You will potentially develop new services with a patient centred focus to help enhance them further in the future as we strive to make care for the frail older patients better than ever
Candidates with previous consultant experience and new CCT-holders are encouraged to apply. You must possess MBBS/MBCH and MRCP or equivalent, full GMC Registration with a License to Practice, be on the GMC Specialist Register and have 5 years supervised training in an appropriate StR training programme or equivalent. You will be joining our highly regarded geriatricians, contribute to a significant development in the geriatric service and to be involved in the general medical on-call as we develop our 7-day services across the Trust.
We currently have specialist services in orthogeriatrics and osteoporosis, POPS surgical liaison, Parkinson’s and movement disorders, and a front door OPAL service. Applicants will have the opportunity to contribute to any of these services and potentially develop new ones.
You will be joining a hospital that is the highest GMC scored Trust in the South West for training. Musgrove Park Hospital is an award winning, progressive and ambitious Foundation Hospital, the largest in Somerset providing acute and community services to over 340,000 people, with an outstanding reputation for the provision of a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and specialist services. Joining the 4000 strong team at Musgrove will offer you a stimulating and professional working environment in which to develop, challenge and further your career.

Taunton itself offers you all the perks of life in the country while still being less than two hours from London.
