Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine
Directorate of Respiratory Medicine Located on rolling hills and dissected by river valleys, Sheffield is one of the greenest and most wooded cities in Europe. The Academic Directorate of Respiratory Medicine seeks to appoint a whole-time Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine. This is a new post offering a unique opportunity to deliver first class specialist clinical care and in a large tertiary referral centre and University Teaching Hospital.
Currently there are 26 respiratory physicians including a large and active academic department providing comprehensive local and regional services including cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, endobronchial ultrasound and bronchial intervention, asthma, interstitial lung disease and non-invasive ventilation.
This is a newly created post to improve the delivery of specialist Respiratory care. Applicants with a sub-specialty interest aligned to the needs of the department would be encouraged and further discussions welcomed informally or at a formal visit.

The successful candidates must have completed Specialist Training and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or have a CCT date within 6 months of the interview.
