The anaesthetic department provides services across two hospital sites, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. All paediatric and neonatal services are based on the Hull Royal Infirmary site as are all obstetric services.  There are 67 consultants within the department who provide in excess of 30,000 anaesthetics per year to a vast range of surgical specialties and many other clinical areas. These posts have been developed to support expansion in surgical workload within the Trust and replace retiring consultants.

The department of obstetric anaesthesia supports the obstetric service based at Hull Royal Infirmary with over 5000 deliveries per year. There are 7 consultants in this department which has a significant and proactive teaching and research programme.

This post comes with a financially attractive recruitment package worth up to £50,000. The package includes removal expenses up to £20,000

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a University Teaching Hospital with 1293 beds and an annual budget of £481 million.
