Salaried GP or Partnership
GP VACANCY SALARIED or PARTNERSHIP
We are looking for a GP working between 5 and 8 sessions a week to join our dynamic team. We aspire to the highest clinical standards, have a holistic approach to patient care and a strong training & education ethos. We achieved overall “Good” CQC with “Outstanding” in Well Led.
Canterbury Medical Practice, based in the historic town of Canterbury, is an innovative practice poised to embrace the new GP contract. The already established local GP network, delivering improved access and enhanced frailty MDT care planning will transform to a Primary Care Network (PCN) with additional service development opportunities already being developed.
Canterbury Medical Practice looks after 21,000 patients across 4 sites currently. Bridge Health Centre and Littlebourne Surgery, our Rural Hub, and Cossington House and London Road surgeries – our City Hub.
Our City Hub is moving to a new state of the art GP Premises on the Kent and Canterbury Hospital site in early 2020. This facilitates further collaborative working with local providers of health and social care.
The post holder will be primarily based in our City Hub but would work at other sites from time to time to cover for absence.
Canterbury Medical Practice is a friendly, supportive, training practice which values our staff and supports their development. Multidisciplinary training is being developed across the whole of Canterbury and will expand further with development of the new Medical School in 2020.
We currently use the EMIS Web clinical system and achieve good patient satisfaction and high QOF scores. We also provide a range of other NHS community services including GPwSI clinics, minor surgery, diagnostics and physical therapies.
We have led the way locally in pro-active Integrated Case Management for care home and frail patients.
In addition to your salary we offer a generous indemnity allowance, NHS pension and 8 weeks (Inc. bank holidays) pro-rated annual leave plus 1 weeks’ study leave per annum.
The local area offers easy access to London and Europe with excellent local schools and services.
If you share our ethos and want to play a part in the development of the Practice we would like to discuss this vacancy with you in more detail and therefore encourage an informal chat and/or Practice visit. Please contact: Dr Kim Gardner – firstname.lastname@example.org Tel: 01227832901
To apply, please email Dee Stenning, Operations Manager via the apply click button with your CV and covering letter explaining why you think you would be right for the post.
