Consultant in Palliative Medicine
10 PAs (6 HCT, 4 Peace Hospice Care)
This exciting new permanent post will join a community and hospice integrated Specialist Palliative Care service at a time of rapid development.
The role will include shaping integrated Palliative and End of Life Care across West Hertfordshire through delivery by four locality integrated care teams which support primary care and other system partners and working within the hospice setting, caring for patients with specialist palliative care needs in the inpatient unit, outpatient setting and at home.
The post holder will be based within the integrated specialist palliative care medical team at Peace Hospice Care in Watford but working across Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Peace Hospice Care. The role will provide a coordinated specialist medical service and lead aspects of expansion and evaluation of community and hospice palliative and end of life care across West Hertfordshire.
Applicants must have current UK Full professional registration with General Medical Council and relevant experience in Palliative Medicine. Possession of a CCT in Palliative Medicine (or associated specialty) or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview.
A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
You are also entitled to receive London Fringe Allowance of £149 per annum
