George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is an integrated acute, community and primary care service provider comprising of the main hub spread on a 32-acre modern district hospital site on the outskirts of Nuneaton, within easy commuting access to M6, M69 and M42.

A number of community services including special care Community Dental Services for Warwickshire and the Urgent Care Centre based at Leicester Royal Infirmary are managed by the Trust.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Substantive Consultant to join our team.

This is a full time General Cardiology post with the successful candidate possessing CCT in Cardiology with a special interest in complex devices as well pacing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the continuing development of the Department of Cardiology, the Division of Medicine and the wider organisation as the Trust strives to continue to improve the services available to our local community through the engagement of high-quality clinical leadership.

The purpose of this role is to support and further develop the Cardiology service and to provide daily review of patients and senior decision making to ensure optimal and early review of patients.

The Department of Cardiology is being reconfigured with the aim of offering seven day per week provision in order that our patients are provided with high quality clinical care at the front door and beyond, in partnership with all specialties within the Division of Medicine. We are supported in this by our Divisional Managers, with whom we have excellent working relationships.
