Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in Breast Imaging
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in Breast Imaging within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
This new post will have sessional commitments at University Hospital Llandough comprising symptomatic diagnostic breast radiology sessions, and some sessions at Breast Test Wales – the NHSBSP.
The symptomatic breast work involves breast clinics, mammographic follow-up reporting, MRI breast imaging, procedures such as wires, stereotactic core biopsies and vacuum assisted biopsies. There is potential to develop any of these skills if required.
The post will provide an exciting opportunity to further develop the existing breast service delivered at the Cardiff Breast Centre which operates from a purpose-built unit which was opened in 2010. The post holder will join a team of two Consultant Radiologists and a Consultant Radiographer who share in the provision of imaging services to the Breast Centre.
Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
