Education Fellow in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine
Hospital for Tropical Diseases Education Training Fellowship in Tropical Medicine
This 12 months teaching fellow post is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical team at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, UCLH, to develop your teaching and leadership skills, and to acquire a significant teaching qualification.
You will be based in the outpatient department for clinical duties, providing support to our tropical walk in, rapid access infectious diseases and OPAT clinics.
You will be encouraged to formally develop your teaching skills, for example by undertaking the first year of the MSc in Medical Education (Royal College of Physicians/ University College London).
Together with the teaching team, you will develop a portfolio of infectious diseases teaching resources, train the clinical team in teaching techniques and support Trust-wide undergraduate teaching activities. There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to lead in implementing a team simulation programme of training in the management of high-consequence infectious diseases (HCID) across the Trust.
Existing ID registrars from around the UK are encouraged to apply: the clinical component of the post is accredited for training and would suit those interested in gaining more experience in managing imported infections. The post will have an on-call component for those candidates. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
