Senior Clinical Education Fellow in Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine
This is a fixed term appointment for a period of one year commencing 5.8.19 based wholly at Wye Valley NHS Trust County Hospital in Hereford, the successful applicants will join our friendly and enthusiastic education team. This post is designed to support development in medical education for the post-holders through planning and delivering teaching whilst maintaining and progressing with clinical experience within your own specialty at middle grade level. Appointees will be expected to participate in the on-call rota for the specialist registrar tier in either Emergency Medicine or Anaesthetics .
The post-holders will spend their daytime sessions in education; teaching medical students, doctors in training and multidisciplinary teams. Additionally they will be supported to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (or equivalent credits)
There is a newly created, fully equipped Simulation Suite including the 3G Sim Man, which provides a further dimension to medical teaching in Hereford plus a Clinical Skills Academy. The Trust is adopting a shared education team structure in 2019 therefore opportunities will arise to help develop and design shared learning across professional groups.
