The Director of Liaison Psychiatry will provide clinical leadership and direction to the development of psychiatric liaison services across the footprint of the acute providers in Hampshire (Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton NHS FT, and Hampshire Hospital NHS FT) and to work in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the delivery of high quality services. The Director for Psychiatric Liaison will contribute to strategic planning and service development and be responsible for medical staff in the services, and contribute to the operational management of all clinical staff. The trust is currently working to a devolved system for the directorates to have responsibility for budgets; with objectives and clinical governance are clearly held at a local level. The Director for Psychiatric Liaison will ensure wide staff participation in the development and implementation of service plans and secure the greatest possible engagement from colleagues for key decisions and objectives.
Relocation package of up to £8000 is available.
Responsibility allowance of 10% of annual salary.
