Consultant in Palliative Care
Applications are invited for a full time post of Consultant in Palliative Medicine. This opportunity has arisen due to retirement
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the well-established, and award winning specialist palliative care services in Airedale, Wharfdale, Craven and North Bradford.
The postholder will work with the other 2 Palliative Consultants on a rotational basis between Airedale hospital palliative care team, Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice inpatient unit and the Sue Ryder Community palliative care team and day therapy services.
Working closely together, the services deliver high quality, integrated palliative care to a culturally and ethnically diverse population.
We have developed innovative models of care for people with non-malignant disease and the highly regarded Goldline service to support all patients approaching end of life and their carers 24/7.
There are strong links with the specialist palliative care services in Bradford, working with the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfdale and Craven Managed Clinical Network.
We participate in the Yorkshire palliative medicine training scheme and GP training scheme.
The contract will be held with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
