Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award winning integrated Trust, set in a beautiful location providing genuine opportunities for a great work-life balance.
We provide high quality, personalised, acute, elective and specialist and community care for a population of over 250,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire in an area extending from the fringes of north Bradford to parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our main hospital site is Airedale Hospital, near Keighley and we also provide services from community hospitals – Castleberg Hospital, near Settle, Coronation Hospital in Ilkley and Skipton Hospital – as well as local health centres and General Practices (GPs).
Over the past few years, we have received a number of accolades for patient safety and our quality of care and the Trust has also been named as one of the top 40 hospitals by CHKS, an independent provider of healthcare intelligence and quality improvement services, for the past 5 consecutive years.
AIREDALE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST VISION
“To be the hospital chosen by the community for putting patients first, providing excellent, innovative and diverse services, delivering safe standards of care, all underpinned by the constant pursuit of efficiency.”
We are serious about safety and believe there is a clear link between providing safe healthcare and delivering strong finances. We are ambitious about our future, and the above statement adapts the previous vision primarily in response to the impact of the changes to the external environment.
On the Children’s’ Unit there are 20 inpatient beds and 4 assessment beds, shared with the surgical and orthopaedic patients, and approximately 3500 admissions each year. There is an annual delivery rate of 2500 births. The David Morgan Neonatal Unit consists of 12 cots with 3 ventilators and admits 300+ babies each year, with 50 needing intensive care. All babies 27 weeks gestation and over are cared for, but as you would expect cardiac and surgical problems are managed in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Emergency care is delivered through a Paediatrician and neonatologist of the Week service.
