Clinical Development Fellowships (CDF)
Applications are invited from trainees who have successfully completed the UK Foundation Programme, an opportunity to experience 6 months or 12 months working in Emergency Medicine prior to committing to a future Core or Specialty training programme, commencing immediately.
In combination with the clinical component, the CDF will be assigned (under discussion) to an area of personal and professional developmental interest in Clinical Teaching & Education, Simulation & Skills training, Research and Quality Improvement, Leadership and Management or Medical Informatics. These activities will be supported through a mentorship programme and the successful candidate will receive financial assistance to support agreed development activities in their chosen area of interest.
The CDF will work under supervision with the local clinical team to develop skills and will also provide a proportion of out of hours activity attracting a 50% pay supplement. The posts are not recognised for training. Applicants must hold Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice.
