Applications are invited for this 10PA full time Consultant Radiologist with Specialist Interest in Acute Pathway Imaging and Abdominal Imaging post based in the Department of Radiology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT). This is a substantive consultant post at the King’s Denmark Hill site, but there may be a need to support cross-site service provision.

King’s College Hospital NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest in London, with a well-established national and international reputation for clinical excellence, innovation and achievement. The hospital not only serves a diverse, multi-ethnic local population but operates as one of the four major trauma centres within the capital, a major trauma centre for Kent and as a tertiary services centre for neuroscience (including stroke), haematological oncology, cardiac / cardio-thoracic (including PAMI), cystic fibrosis, and hepatobiliary (including liver transplantation) patients.

The activities and development of the Imaging Services reflect those of the Hospital as a whole with integration of both undergraduate and postgraduate training with the service commitments to the institution.

The remit of this post will be to support the delivery of Acute Pathway Radiology provision. The individual would be encouraged to offer provision of imaging for a further sub-specialty across the Kings Hospital Sites. While a range of interests could be accommodated for the right candidate, an interest in research would be particularly welcome. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the imaging departments while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and associated professional groups.

There is a requirement to participate in the diagnostic on call rota for the Denmark Hill site.

Applications for part time working will be considered.

AAC Interview date: 29/03/2019.
