Required to fill this new post within the Haematology Department (Haemostasis and Thrombosis subspecialty). The Leeds Comprehensive Care Haemophilia Centre for adults is based in the Department and is part of the NW Yorkshire Haemophilia network. The haemostasis and thrombosis team provides leadership for the Leeds Anticoagulant service and is a key contributor to a multidisciplinary VTE MDT. The VTE service in Leeds is undergoing review and development and there are opportunities to contribute to this process. There is a proactive obstetric haematology service and a combined haematology obstetric clinic. The focus of this post is in thrombosis and anticoagulation but candidates with broad interests in haemostasis and thrombosis will be welcome and it is expected that the successful candidate will participate in both the thrombosis and bleeding disorders service. The post holder will be expected to participate in the out of hours on call rota for the North West Yorkshire Haemophilia Network.
