Consultant Community Paediatrician
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant community paediatrician as the designated doctor for child protection and the lead paediatrician for the child death overview panel in Warwickshire.
We are looking to recruit a strong clinical leader to complement the organisation and work as part of the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) safeguarding team, to support all activities necessary to ensure that organisations within the health economy meet their statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
The post has been advertised as 10 programmed activities though applications will be considered from those who wish to work less than full-time as there is flexibility within service planning and provision to accommodate this.
Multidisciplinary and interagency working will form a significant part of the role. The designated doctor will provide strategic specialist clinical advice to CCG governing bodies, all health providers in Warwickshire and the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board/Safeguarding Partners, linking particularly with named and lead safeguarding health professionals and local authority children’s services.
