Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist (Paediatric Neuroradiology)
This new post has arisen as a result of significant increase in demand for diagnostic neuroimaging and retirement of a senior colleague. This post is intended for a diagnostic neuroradiologist who will cover the full spectrum of adult diagnostic neuroradiology and paediatric neuroradiology. The appointee will add to a team of 5 full time and 4 part time neuroradiologists, between them providing the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology and take part in a 1:5 on call for diagnostic neuroradiology.
The Trust employs 42 Consultant Radiologists working across two major sites 5 miles apart. The successful applicant will work mostly at the Hull Royal Infirmary site.
The local Radiology Training Scheme comprises 4 Specialist Registrars per year. The department is involved in undergraduate teaching for the Hull and York Medical School and there will be an opportunity for the appointee to become involved in Medical Student Teaching. The department is well equipped – with 4 CT scanners, 5 MRI scanners and has received funds to install additional CT and MRI scanners in 2019.

The successful applicant should possess FRCR (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview.
