Locum Consultant in Nephrology and General Medicine
Available from 4th February 2014 for six months
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Nephrologist who will also deal with General Medicine for a period of 6 months from 4th February 2019 at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The Department of Nephrology at the Royal Cornwall Hospital provides a comprehensive Renal Service for a catchment population of 400,000 which doubles during the summer months.
This post will provide care for both inpatients and outpatients to the Hospital and at community sites around the county. The Royal Cornwall Hospital facilitates a 20 stationed Hemodialysis Unit within the Hospital with satellite units both at West Cornwall Hospital, Penance and at the Bodmin Renal Unit.
The transplantation programme for Cornwall currently stands at approximately 200 patients and this figure continues to grow.
