Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an interest in Urogynaecology. You will be joining the team at Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, a trust that has the highest GMC score for training in the South West. We are seeking a clinician with imagination, drive and commitment to be part of the team that creates and delivers new models of care.

We would welcome candidates with either sub specialty training or a relevant ATSM or similar. The successful candidate will have accreditation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and will join an already well-established team, which includes Consultants with special interests in Emergency Gynaecology, Fetal Medicine and Maternal Medicine, Gynae-Oncology, Labour Ward and Education and Minimal Access Surgery (we are an Endometriosis Centre)

The Post:

The post is for a full-time contract (10 PAs) however part time roles or flexible working can be made available for the right candidate.

To provide, to a high standard, the full range of specialist diagnostic and treatment services to patients requiring obstetric and gynaecology services, as outlined in the proposed programme.

 To organise, manage and be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients at Musgrove Park Hospital

To be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the administration of the department.

To participate in an on-call rota to provide cover for both obstetric and gynaecology patients and sometimes on a night shift be first on call.

Applicants will hold MRCOG or equivalent and be enrolled/within 6 months of enrolment on the GMC’s Specialist Register at the time of interview.
