The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in the Ears, Nose and Throat department

Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor in ENT, this post will be for 12 months, pending substantive appointment. The appointed candidate will be alongside other SpDr’s and trainee Registrars. The Department of ENT serves a population of 350,000.

The unit offers a comprehensive range of routine and specialist ENT services and treatment. The team comprises of 5 Consultant ENT Surgeons, 2 Specialty Registrars, 3 Specialty Doctors and 3 ST1/2 doctors.

The post is a full time appointment, consisting predominantly of clinics with surgery being offered based on experience of the candidate. The post would be expected to take part in the on-call (non resident) rota for the department based on a 1:5 frequency. The rota attracts an on call supplement of 4%.

The hospital is excellently placed geographically, being near junction 15 on the M4, 75 miles from London and 35 miles from Bristol. It is in the midst of beautiful countryside sitting at the foot of the Marlborough Downs and just south of the Cotswolds.
