We are unashamedly proud of the working relationship in our department. There is no conflict and all team members communicate well with each other. The consultant group meet both formally and informally, on a regular basis, to ensure the smooth running of the team. In the national NHS staff survey our trust was recently recognised as the top trust in the country in which to work. We have the opportunity for an enviable work life balance with easy access to countryside and coast in Hampshire and Dorset.
We are a friendly hospital with an interactive and innovative approach from our management team. Patient care is at the centre of all we do and we would welcome a candidate who is prepared to follow the principle of “would I be happy for a member of my own family to receive this care/treatment?” and strive for excellence.
The Royal Bournemouth Hospital is the designated Urological Cancer Centre for Dorset. The Urology department including a 26-bedded Inpatient Unit and separate Day Surgery Unit currently offers a full range of services for East Dorset including major open oncological surgery, robotic surgery (pelvic and upper tract), upper tract and pelvic laparoscopy, and percutaneous and endoscopic stone surgery.
Candidates wanting to work part-time or job-share will be considered.
