Clinical Fellow ST3+ in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

 

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join the dedicated team at the Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Swindon. The candidate will participate in the 1:9 on call rota which attracts enhancements.  This post is vacant from 1st April 18. It is for 12 months in the first instance, but it may become a permanent position after review and successful performance in the post.

Candidates who hold MRCOG are welcome to apply as there is opportunity to develop experience and skills in a wide range of sub specialist areas through RCOG ATSMs programme.

Where research or audit work is accepted for presentation at an international or national congresses funding to support registration, travel and accommodation may be available at the Academy Dean’s discretion.

The unit has over 4500 deliveries and a catchment population of 340,000. There are currently 14 consultants, 3 specialty grade doctors, a clinical fellow, 5 ST3+ trainees, and 8 ST1/2 trainees.

The hospital is a Teaching Hospital for undergraduate students from Bristol and Oxford Universities. There is a new Academy Centre with excellent library facilities and an active educational programme.
 

Swindon is an expanding town, which sits adjacent to the M4, at the heart of Southern Central England in the Wiltshire countryside. The Marlborough Downs, the Cotswolds and the towns of Oxford, Bath and Bristol are all within easy reach.
