Location: Any PHE location with one day per week at PHE unit in Gloucester

This permanent post is within the Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance Division of the National Infection Service. The mission of our division is to protect people from healthcare-associated and AMR infections, through world-leading public health microbiology, outbreak response, surveillance, research and interventions. 

This post will share the leadership with the current clinical lead of the Primary Care Unit. This post will undertake the development, evaluation and research of resources to improve antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control across all healthcare settings. The individual will be appointed to the appropriate point of the consultant salary scale (2003 contract) for England.
