Specialty Doctor Psychiatry for Male Low Secure pathway Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Applications are invited to apply for a position (1 WTE) working in the male low secure inpatient service based at Northside House in Norwich. This is an opportunity to join the service at a time of significant development. The unit has recently moved to offer 16 beds in a new ward within an established secure unit. There are opportunities to further develop a fully integrated pathway for men within Forensic Services with strong links with community forensic mental health and criminal justice agencies. The unit forms part of the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust Forensic services, which has 82 beds providing male and female medium and low secure beds. Services are also provided to local courts, prisons and criminal justice partners. There will be opportunity to experience different parts of the service for interested applicants. The post is recognised for core and higher training and there is opportunity for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This is an exciting time to join the service as it completes a significant transformation programme and looks to becoming involved in New Care Models across the Eastern region. You will join an existing group of 6 Consultants and other specialty grade doctors.
The post holder must be registered with the GMC and possess a license to practice. Experience within secure services is desirable, although not essential.
