This advertisement is for a fixed-term 12-month locum post to provide maternity leave cover for a full-time consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Services provided include paediatric cataract; genetics; special needs/cerebral visual impairment, screening and treatment for ROP and general paediatric ophthalmology including squint, paediatric primary care and a busy paediatric neuro-ophthalmology service supporting the Regional Paediatric Neurosciences department in Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital (BRCH). There is a dedicated Paediatric Ophthalmology clinical area, the electrodiagnostic department is on the same floor and new investigative services and equipment (objective eye tracking, hand-held OCT) will be available during 2019.
