Applications are invited for two Consultant Radiologists based at Cambridge University Hospital:

We are looking for two motivated and enthusiastic radiologists to join our radiology team, of 52 consultants, both NHS and University based, and 34 StRs.

We have a close working relationship with the surgical, gastroenterology, transplant and oncology departments and equally close working relationship with the trauma and orthopaedics, rheumatology, sarcoma and oncology departments and are actively involved in multidisciplinary clinical, research and educational activities. The Imaging Directorate is ISAS accredited and the Trust is a Major Cancer Centre and a Major Trauma Centre.

The successful candidate will join a strong multidisciplinary team and provide specialist and general support to the workload of the department. The department is well equipped with state-of-the-art machines including: 5 Siemens CT scanners, 1 PET-CT scanner, 6 GE MRI scanners, an ultrasound suite with 8 Toshiba US machines, 3 interventional radiology suites and a PET-MR unit.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT Radiology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

You must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
