Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases
You are invited for a 9 PA permanent consultant post in the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Unit based at St. George’s Hospital. The Paediatric Infectious Diseases Unit provides a regional PID service to the old South West Thames region. The work of the PIDU includes care of PID inpatient children as well as an outpatient service for children with immunodeficiency and infectious diseases conditions. Specialist services are provided for HIV, primary immunodeficiencies, congenital infections and TB and include regular multidisciplinary meetings.
St. George’s is a large teaching hospital affiliated with St. George’s University of London Medical School. It is a major centre for clinical care, teaching and research. Children’s services provide local and tertiary Paediatric services and the PID team work closely with specialist Paediatric services including surgery, PICU, neurology, genetics, respiratory, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, radiology, metabolic diseases and Newborn Services.
